Phlebotomist

We are currently recruiting for a Phlebotomist to join the team in our busy onsite lab as they care for our patients each day.

Position Overview:

Our on-site Phlebotomists keep care flowing smoothly and quickly for the needs of our hematology and oncology patients. You will be working with a team phlebotomists and Medical Laboratory Scientists to provide exceptional customer service, specimen collection, and processing.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform phlebotomy
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Point-of-care waived lab testing
• Answering phones
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Document scanning/faxing
• Inventory re-stocking
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

Position Highlights:

• No work on nights, holidays, weekends
• Monday – Friday, 8 hours a day between 7:30 and 5:30

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with all clinic staff in the pursuit of providing excellent patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• Experienced and confident to handle fast paced and unpredictable clinical environment
