Kurt attended OHSU Nursing School from 1983-1986, and upon graduation started work in the ICU at Sunnyside Hospital in Clackamas. After working in rural Oregon as a Public Health Nurse from 1994 to 1995, Kurt returned to OHSU, graduating from the first Oregon Physician Assistant Program in 1997.
Since 1997 Kurt has served the community in the Salem area, working in Primary Care and Family Medicine. In March of 2023 he joined Oregon Oncology Specialists. Kurt is excited to bring his interest in medicine to a very active specialty office, and is passionate about helping patients navigate their care, with a focus on Symptom Management.
When Kurt is not in the office he enjoys spending time with his wife Kelly, his first grandson, friends and family. He and Kelly enjoy hiking, camping, and other wilderness activities. They also share a passion for travel, reading, and caring for their Siberian cats, Gus and Gracie.
