Dr. Rahim Jiwani’s passion for healthcare stems from a desire to help others and make a positive impact. He was initially drawn to oncology by the complex nature of cancer care, combined with his background in biology and his interest in building meaningful relationships with patients. He finds it exciting to work in a field that evolves daily through cutting-edge research and technology, all with the goal of improving patient outcomes.
Throughout his medical training, Dr. Jiwani has been fortunate to work with mentors who taught him that cancer care can be both challenging and rewarding. He values a patient-centered approach, focusing on the whole person rather than just their medical condition. He sees his primary role as educating and empowering patients and their families to make informed decisions about their care.
Originally from British Columbia, Dr. Jiwani is excited to practice in the Pacific Northwest, his favorite part of the country. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, skiing, and visiting the beach. An avid traveler, he hopes to visit as many countries as possible. Dr. Jiwani is also a dedicated sports fan, especially when it comes to football, hockey, and soccer. His favorite football team is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
