Sharyn is a family nurse practitioner and sees patients with all types of cancer and blood disorders through a collaboration with Oregon Oncology Specialists.
She was motivated to become a nurse from the experience having a son born prematurely. She first worked with oncology patients as a bedside nurse and was part of the medical team that performed the first autologous stem cell transplant in Austin, Texas. When she became a nurse practitioner, she decided to make oncology her focus.
Sharyn has a keen interest in breast cancer and anemias, especially those caused by bariatric surgery. She uses a holistic approach in her practice.
In her free time, Sharyn enjoys reading mystery novels and spending time with her family and pets.
