Michael Nguyen began his healthcare career as a medical assistant at OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, where he gained valuable experience working with patients and care teams in oncology. He went on to graduate from George Fox University’s physician assistant (PA) program before becoming a physician associate.
Michael was drawn to oncology by the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients through close follow-up and ongoing care. He understands that a cancer diagnosis and treatment can be a vulnerable and challenging time, and he considers it a privilege to support patients throughout their care.
His approach is evidence-based and collaborative. Michael strives to understand each patient’s individual needs and goals and work together with them to make care decisions that are right for them.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his Pom-Chi mix and playing tennis.
